Regenerative agriculture is still in the process of being fully defined.

There is intense interest in it both for the promise it holds in improving the quality of food people eat AND its ability, through storing carbon in the ground, to reduce climate change.  Still, the way regenerative is often talked about in the mainstream press is in relation to organic production, when the two are very separate concepts.  As you can learn more about in our Regenerative Learning section, there are practices used in organic — like tillage, that make it very hard to restore soil health.

Grounded Growth’s approach is to support all forms of regenerative agriculture — but we focus on bringing to market the most scaleable and beneficial option, which is actually not organic — following our motto: Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good!
